Three generations. Many solutions. A single idea of dedicated service.

1920: The company was started as Malone Insurance Agency.

1948: Bob Mitchell purchases the Malone Insurance Agency. Mr. Mitchell establishes a company philosophy of professionalism, respect, appreciation and consistent community involvement.

1963: A new building is constructed, and the employee roster includes Mr. Mitchell and two secretaries.

1970: Rob Mitchell, Jr. returns to Sikeston with wife Kathy and their first child, Elizabeth. Rob joins the agency, as does Jerry Burge (1973).

1976: Mitchell Insurance moves into their current location on N. Main.

1995: Executives from Travelers - one of the nation's leading providers of commercial insurance - visit Sikeston to celebrate their 75-year association with Mitchell Insurance.

2005: Mitchell Insurance launches "HealthTrack," a proprietary program designed to help health groups reduce premiums and claims.

2012: Beth Mitchell Johnson becomes president and Deke Lape takes the role of corporate secretary.
